ABOUT US

Holy Watre, inspired by Richard Wagner's mid-century notion of the "total work of art," in which multiple art genres unite to achieve a single experience, takes over a place, subjecting every element and every surface to an overarching vision. Imani Gray, the architect, oversees, if not designs, everything. The end product is a place with no holes, fissures, or openings to other possibilities or universes. Holy Watre aspires to wrap its partisans in a single, seamless multimedia garment; and its private interior, entirely removed from the chaotic plurality of the outside, serves as the prototype for this approach.
